We are seeking a highly skilled International Finance Manager to join our team at Oxford University Press.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

About the Role:

Job Summary

This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of international finance and regulatory requirements. As an International Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective central oversight is provided to our International Offices (IOs) globally.

You will define and implement robust control and monitoring processes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and OUP Group Accounting Policies within the UK and overseas territories.

A key responsibility is documenting any deviation from Group Accounting Policies and seeking approval from the Group Finance Director.

  • Ensure the integrity of IO financial accounts, reconciliations between local statutory accounts and OUP management accounts.
  • Lead on projects regarding the status/set up/closure of international entities to meet business requirements, seeking advice from Group Tax, Legal, HR, and Treasury as necessary.
  • Manage third-party accounting and payroll provider relationships relating to IOs.
  • Responsible for the OUP IO Manual, defining processes and procedures, and ensuring consistent implementation across all IOs.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Accountancy qualification with a clear understanding of accounting/regulatory requirements.
  • Global experience of operating within Finance.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop the International Office accountant in an environment of continuous improvement.
