Job Title: Project Planning and Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning and Controls Specialist to join our team at Leonardo. As a key member of our Project Controls Office, you will provide complex technical and professional advice in support of Project Planning and Controls across UK Electronics.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing and maintaining business critical Project Planning Systems for UK Electronics, providing professional advice on Project Planning and Controls to Integrated Project Teams, Functions, and Lines of Business, and assisting in the development and audit of professional standards to support business adherence at all project stages.

You will also contribute to the definition, delivery, and improvement of Project Planning systems, processes, business reporting, and training across UK Electronics, coordinate changes from requirements capture to completion and delivery, and make recommendations to support improved business effectiveness and decision making across UK Electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain business critical Project Planning Systems for UK Electronics
  • Provide professional advice on Project Planning and Controls to Integrated Project Teams, Functions, and Lines of Business
  • Assist in the development and audit of professional standards to support business adherence at all project stages
  • Contribute to the definition, delivery, and improvement of Project Planning systems, processes, business reporting, and training across UK Electronics
  • Coordinate changes from requirements capture to completion and delivery
  • Make recommendations to support improved business effectiveness and decision making across UK Electronics

Requirements:

  • Detailed understanding of Project Planning and Controls operation and business systems
  • Experience in the practical application of Project Controls in a business delivery environment
  • Good problem-solving skills, an approachable attitude, and a desire to help users with the resolution of technical issues
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with others using facts and evidence to support line of reasoning
  • Confidence and ability to challenge/respond to challenge on professional or process issues
  • Experience in continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques
  • Understanding of cross-functional/commercial business processes
  • Experience in a similar role at the early stages of solution implementation and change
