Job Title: SEND Teacher

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher to join our team at a small SEND school in Gateshead. The ideal candidate will have QTS and a proven track record of working with children with profound multiple learning difficulties.

The school caters for students aged 2-19 with a range of diverse special educational needs. They strive for success across all aspects of the school, from student progression and personal development to relationships between students and teaching assistants.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • QTS/TRN.
  • Specialised training or experience working with PMLD is highly recommended.
  • Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and behavioural intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external professionals.
