About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Hebburn. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEND
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, pupils, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting
  • Adequate understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
