Job Duties:
  • Design and deliver engaging music lessons to students, fostering a love for music and creativity
  • Develop and implement music curricula that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Evaluate and assess students' musical progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Organize and participate in school music events and performances, showcasing students' talents
  • Support students in developing their musical skills, encouraging them to reach their full potential
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Music or related field
  • Experience teaching music at secondary school level, with a proven track record of success

Experience:
  • Teaching music at secondary school level, with a focus on curriculum development and student engagement
  • Experience in planning and delivering music lessons, with a emphasis on creativity and student-centered learning
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of music theory and practical music skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Music Education, with a focus on curriculum development and student assessment
  • Experience in leading music ensembles or choirs, with a proven track record of success
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position with temporary contract, with opportunities for professional development and training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
