About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brand and Content Officer to join our team at Be Applied Ltd. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing creative national and regional PR strategies that drive income and raise awareness of our brand.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Deliver PR Strategies: Assist in the planning and delivery of creative national and regional PR strategies that feed into and support our company's strategic objectives.
  2. Content Creation: Help to develop new ideas, content, and stories to secure media coverage for our digital platforms, print, and broadcast media.
  3. Media Relations: Set up media interviews, write briefing materials, and attend interviews when required.
  4. Project Management: Own projects from planning through to evaluation with support from your line manager.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Establish, develop, and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Partnership Development: Work closely with external partners and organisations to help maximise their involvement with our company.
  7. Content Development: Draft and edit high-quality, compelling written materials and ensure sign-off on all materials.
  8. Impact Storytelling: Work with our funded partners and the people they support to show the positive impact of our donations.
  9. Press Office Management: Take a leading role in the day-to-day running of an efficient Press Office, including responding to media enquiries and monitoring media coverage.
  10. Ad Hoc Tasks: Be flexible and support the PR team with ad hoc tasks as directed.
Person Specification
  1. PR Experience: Demonstrable experience of working in PR / Media roles.
  2. Account Management: Experience as a PR Officer or similar in-house or an Account Executive or similar in a PR agency.
  3. Campaign Development: Proven experience of working on national and regional PR campaigns.
  4. Creative Ideas: An ability to develop and deliver fresh creative ideas that generate media coverage.
  5. Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills.
  6. Writing Skills: Excellent writer with attention to detail.
  7. Media Relations: Good media relations and confidence approaching journalists with ideas.
  8. Project Management: Good experience managing and prioritising multiple projects to strict deadlines.
  9. PR Landscape: Good understanding of the changing PR landscape across national and regional UK media.
  10. Commitment to Values: A commitment to our company and its core values and a strong team player.
  11. PR Evaluation: Understanding of PR evaluation methods.
  12. Talent Management: Experience of working with talent/influencers.
  13. Negotiation Skills: Good negotiator with strong influencing skills.
