About the Role

We are seeking a skilled UX Content Designer to join our team at Rapid7. As a UX Content Designer, you will play a critical role in creating engaging and effective content experiences that guide our customers to achieve their outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create UX content experiences that are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with our brand tone and voice.
  • Design and develop in-product walkthroughs, help documentation, infographics, multimedia content, and other learning experiences that meet our customers' needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, experience design, and software development, to ensure a cohesive and effective content strategy.
  • Conduct research to identify gaps in customer experiences and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide holistic oversight for help content and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Audit and assess our product and documentation to ensure consistency with our content standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to encourage a content-as-a-priority approach and foster a culture of content excellence.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong research-driven approach to content design.
  • Technical knowledge, writing skills, and analytical skills to deliver high-quality content experiences.
  • Knowledge of information architecture and its application to in-product and documentation experiences.
  • Graphic design and data visualization skills.
  • Passion for technology and desire to learn about it.
  • Experience working with GitHub, JIRA, Markdown, Pendo, Figma, Miro, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to be a team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience as a UX Content Designer or in a related field.
