Energy Market Analyst

FIELD is seeking a highly skilled Energy Market Analyst to join our Strategy & Analysis team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business operations across all teams and geographies.
Key Responsibilities- Market Data Management: You will be responsible for sourcing and processing market fundamentals data for GB, ensuring that our in-house fundamentals model is up-to-date and accurate. This will involve researching, analyzing, and synthesizing key energy market information to maintain the data inputs for our model.
- Market Research and Analysis: You will conduct primary research, develop models, and run scenarios using our in-house fundamentals model to produce high-quality electricity market research and analysis. Your findings will be presented to senior leadership, investors, and/or the board, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Board Reporting and Updates: You will create monthly updates for the board on forecast vs actual revenues, complete ad-hoc requested analyses, and regularly update the business on short- to medium-term market trends to support the operation of our assets.
- External Revenue Curve Management: You will maintain relationships with external revenue curve providers, assess their performance, and provide updates to the business on latest forecasts and changes.
- Market Developments and Expertise: You will monitor key market developments and changes in the drivers of value in merchant markets, communicating key market updates and conducting analysis on expected impacts on FIELD's business case.
- Expertise in Energy Market Analysis: You will have in-depth knowledge and ability to abstractly represent key market drivers of at least one of GB or other major EU markets.
- Strong Analytical Skills: You will have strong Excel skills, programming skills desirable, and the ability to produce clear and actionable analysis outputs.
- Effective Communication: You will be a great communicator, able to understand analysis needs from different stakeholders and translate them into analytical work.
- Team Player: You will be a humble and hands-on team player, able to work well with others at all levels and meet tight deadlines.
- Competitive Salary: £72,000 - £100,000
