This exciting opportunity reports to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement and is based in Leatherhead, Surrey. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days spent in the office.
The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects, focusing on securing major gifts from new donors. This role also involves line management of three experienced fundraisers, who manage their own portfolios of Major Donors, Trusts, and Foundations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve income targets and effectively manage prospect relationships.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and pursue new opportunities, with a focus on major gifts.
- Provide guidance and support to the fundraising team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners to drive fundraising efforts.
- Proven experience in philanthropy, fundraising, or a related field, with a track record of achieving challenging income targets.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate others.
- Background in a children's charity or SME, with ownership of strategic planning, is highly desirable.
