Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our oncology team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a first-level registered nursing qualification, SACT training, and experience in an acute setting. You will be responsible for delivering specialist care to patients with cancer and working closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist care to patients with cancer, working closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care delivered to patients, providing relevant advice and information to patients and relatives.
  • Administer prescribed medication, including transfusions of blood and administration of blood products.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A first-level registered nursing qualification from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • SACT training and competency.
  • Experience in an acute setting, preferably at Band 5 level.
  • Good communication skills, ability to deal with sensitive information, and adaptability and flexibility.
