Transform Lives as a Dedicated Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our esteemed team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Memory Service, you will be instrumental in providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with suspected dementia.

The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a profound understanding of dementia and its impact on patients and their families. Your commitment to delivering high-quality care will be invaluable in supporting our patients through the complexities of this condition.

In this full-time position, you will work closely with a well-established multi-disciplinary team, comprising nurses, occupational therapists, consultants, and specialty doctors. Our Trust is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, offering regular training opportunities and a supportive environment that encourages growth and innovation.

This role has arisen due to the current postholder's promotion to a Band 7 position within the service. We are eager to welcome a motivated individual who shares our passion for delivering exceptional care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with suspected dementia
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our Memory Service

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £38,000 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience, plus a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary, with a minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum (pro rata for part-time). If you are an overseas qualified nurse, please note that we may not consider your application directly, but we can provide support through our Capital Nurse consortium.
