About the Role

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will be part of our dedicated team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Our trust provides a range of general hospital services to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centred care and seek a registered nurse with experience in oncology care to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist care to patients with cancer, working closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care delivered to patients, providing relevant advice and information to patients and relatives.
  • Administer prescribed medication, including transfusions of blood and administration of blood products.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A first-level registered nursing qualification from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • SACT training and competency.
  • Experience in an acute setting, preferably at Band 5 level.
  • Good communication skills, ability to deal with sensitive information, and adaptability and flexibility.
