Transport Depot Manager

Menzies Distribution Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport Depot Manager to oversee the daily operations of two busy depots in Knowsley and Oldham. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of depot activities, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and control all aspects of depot operations, including staff development and depot efficiencies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance and achieve KPI targets.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, including tachograph, driver's hours, and maintenance schedules.
- Exercise operational controls to protect the company's Operator License and regularly audit systems to ensure compliance.
- Set clear goals and targets for direct reports through the Performance Development Review (PDR) process.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
