Transport Depot Manager

Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking an experienced Transport Depot Manager to oversee the operations of two busy depots in Knowsley and Oldham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the depots, managing staff, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and control all aspects of depot operations, including staff management, vehicle maintenance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve depot efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop a team of depot staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including health and safety, driver hours, and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and analyze operational and financial performance data to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and depot operations.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
- CPC holder (International) and 'Right To Work' in the UK.
