Job Title: Transport Depot Manager

Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking an experienced Transport Depot Manager to oversee the operations of two busy depots, Knowsley and Oldham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the depots, managing staff, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control all aspects of depot operations, including staff management, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve depot efficiency, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
  • Lead and develop a team of depot staff, providing training and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including health and safety, driver hours, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Monitor and analyze depot performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of depot operations and management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Hold a valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and have a strong understanding of transport regulations.
