Job Description

Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of two busy depots, ensuring optimal cost and service levels are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve depot efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of depot staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their growth and success.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the depot's budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Compliance: Ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met, including tachograph, driver's hours, maintenance schedules, and records.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly review and analyze operational and financial performance data to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a strong focus on development and growth.
  • Financial Management: Experience in managing budgets and ensuring cost control.
  • Health and Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to various audiences.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial understanding, with the ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
