Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Education Support Specialist to work with students in or around Colchester who require tailored Maths and English lessons due to Social and Emotional Health Needs. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the severity of SEMH and be able to provide emotional support, encouraging students to develop coping strategies, key social skills, resilience, confidence, and independence.

The role involves reengaging students who have been out of education for a period of time, helping them reintegrate back into the school and daily routine. Prospero Teaching will work closely with the successful candidate to monitor progression with each pupil and ensure effective learning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide one-to-one Maths and English lessons to students with SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet individual student needs
  • Work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed

**Requirements:**

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent qualification
  • 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)
  • Experience working with SEN or similar

**Salary and Benefits:**

  • £25 per hour
