Senior Mechanical Project Engineer - An Exciting Opportunity
Lanesra Technical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client, a leading Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating in the water industry. This is a fantastic chance to work on a variety of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Yorkshire Water.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of all drawings, including plant and sub-contract layouts, to ensure coordination.
- Work closely with designer partners and suppliers to deliver all mechanical requirements across a project portfolio.
- Provide support to the Project Quantity Surveyor on commercial matters.
- Maintain accurate records of labour and material elements used in the pre-fabricated sections of the project.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and environment on your projects to support improved wellbeing and performance.
Requirements:
- Experience on a wide range of water processes, mainly within the UK water industry.
- CSCS Card.
- SMSTS Qualification, SSSTS Minimum.
- Diploma or Degree qualified.
- Technical knowledge of Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Water & Waste Water Operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills who can multi-task and consistently meet challenging deadlines.
- Experience of both pre-production and production mechanical project engineering desirable.
- Familiarity with MMC, Lean Construction, Agile Programme Management, Production Thinking and other techniques that assure programme, cost and quality performance.

Our client is a leading contractor in the water industry, delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Yorkshire Water. They are looking for a skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team and contribute to the success of their projects.

This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical engineering functions in pre & Post contract award and achieving a successful outcome technically, commercially to the clients' requirements on the project.
