Job Opportunity for a Newly Qualified Accountant

Fletcher George Financial Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Newly Qualified Accountant to join our team as an Accounts Senior / Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to begin their career in a highly regarded firm and enjoy a clear trajectory to Client Manager.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves managing a portfolio of Charity and Not-for-Profit clients, providing a wide range of accounting outsourced services and advice. You will work closely with the senior management team, including the Managing Director, to provide excellent client service to a growing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage workflow and accounts delivery for your portfolio, reporting internally to the Senior Managers and Directors.
  • Oversee the preparation of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee the preparation of draft statutory accounts and supporting year-end schedules for review, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Delegate appropriate work and provide support and supervision as required, ensuring effective team management.

Requirements

  • Recently Qualified ACA or ACCA (up to 3 years) with relevant experience in an audit or accountancy practice.
  • Experience of management/statutory accounts preparation, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Ability to multi-task and service a portfolio of clients effectively and efficiently, achieving deadlines while understanding the commercial implications of productivity and client service.
  • Good knowledge of accounting software, including Xero, Sage 50, and Sage 200.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including advanced Excel.
