About the Role

The Balfour Project is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Executive Director. As the face of the charity, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the organization's activities, including staff management, accountability to the Board of Trustees, and external relations. Your remit will span operations, policy, communication, and fundraising, and you will work at the highest level on these matters, involving exposure to a wide range of counterparties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the charity's operations, including staff management and accountability to the Board of Trustees
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the charity's work and values
  • Lead the charity's fundraising efforts, including identifying and securing new funding opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community leaders

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of senior management experience, ideally in public or private sector policy development, external affairs, or the charity sector. You should be a collaborative team player, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with the ability to deliver clear objectives and excel in a strategically ambiguous, multi-stakeholder environment. You will be passionate about securing peace with justice, security, and equal rights for Palestinians and Israelis, and will be committed to upholding the rule of law and fundamental human rights, including the right to self-determination and the implementation of international law.
