We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Deployment Specialist to join our project engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the deployment of software and hardware systems to our customer base.

Key Responsibilities



  • Act as onsite project lead for coordination activities and relevant communication of project tasks.
  • Utilize your software, electrical, and mechanical skills to install, troubleshoot, and support the end-to-end solution to a high standard and in an efficient time scale.
  • Configure hardware devices such as HMIs, PCs, PLCs, Barcode scanners, Vision equipment, and industrial coders.
  • Fault find on Ethernet and RS232, using electrical and software skills.
  • Undertake customer training from basic line operation to full system training.
  • Conduct project analysis such as packaging, hardware, and system implementation surveys.
  • Liaise with the development and solutions teams within the company to allow thorough testing of new devices before drivers are released to site engineers and integrators.
  • Be part of the Out of Hours rota and take calls from customer sites to resolve issues.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • At least 5 years of experience working in an engineering role, preferably as a project engineer.
  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in a relevant electrical discipline.
  • A minimum of HNC in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills.
  • Strong appetite to learn and use our own software and 3rd party software systems.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks.
  • End user and project team training skills.
  • Full UK passport and UK driving license.


Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. A company car or van, laptop, and phone will be made available as part of the role. A pension scheme is also available.
