Data Analyst Intern

About Us: Allied Machine & Engineering is a leading manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in various applications.
Job Summary: We are seeking an individual to support the activities of our Addams Project Engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining an automated quoting through manufacturing system.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support Development Activities: Collaborate with the Addams Project Engineers to develop automation solutions for engineering and manufacturing tasks.
- Develop Models: Use CAD/CAM software to minimize quote, design, draft, program, and manufacture time for quality parts.
- Create Documentation: Develop standards, models, and applications documentation.
- Implement Training Programs: Train users on application functionality and create baseline test items and procedures.
Key Challenges:
- Reliable System Production: Produce reliable systems using the development strategy defined by the Addams Project Engineer.
- Workaround Software Limitations: Find ways to work around software or programming limitations to meet Corporation needs.
- Training and Documentation: Assist individuals outside the group to utilize applications created by the group.
- Engineering and Project Management Skills: Develop skills needed to become an Addams Project Engineer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Custom Software Experience: Experience with writing custom software applications using .NET Framework.
- Maintenance Skills: Ability to maintain custom software applications using ANSI C, C++, or Java.
- Database Experience: Experience with developing and managing relational databases like Microsoft Access or SQL Server.
- Web-Based Applications: Experience with developing interactive web-based applications using ASP.NET, HTML, and JavaScript.
- CNC Program Development: Understanding of techniques used to develop CNC programs using CAM and post-processing software.
- CAD Software: Experience with 3-dimensional CAD software packages.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills.
- Communication Skills: Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Instruction Following: Ability to take and follow instructions given by the Addams Project Engineers.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well independently and cooperatively with others.
