About the Position

We are seeking a Vulnerable Student Advocate to join our team at Academics Ltd. In this role, you will work closely with students aged 6-18 who require additional support due to various barriers in life. Your primary objective will be to create a safe and supportive environment where students can thrive and achieve their goals.

You will be responsible for building confidence and motivation, as well as developing and implementing strategies to improve student engagement and attainment. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with various needs
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to ensure comprehensive support
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Criminology, or related field
  • Experience working with students who have faced adverse childhood experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
