Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Underwriter to join our team at Travelers. As a Cyber Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business cyber policies, as well as assisting the wider underwriting team. You will make sound underwriting decisions through the life cycle of the policy, offering a superior service to our brokers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and assess risk to maximise business growth and profitability for allocated book of business.
  • Participate in new business, renewal and mid-term alteration underwriting activities that support underwriting decisions, consistent with business growth and profit.
  • Accountable for accurate underwriting documentation/information in account management systems and adherence to documentation standards.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues in other parts of the organisation, including Head Office, Risk Control, Distribution, Claims, Actuarial, etc.
  • Actively engage and seek out training opportunities to further develop underwriting and sales expertise.
  • Work effectively as a productive and supportive team member in conjunction with more senior team members, supporting business unit and company objectives.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of underwriting in Financial Lines classes of business.
  • Working knowledge of the local insurance marketplace.
  • Demonstrates an ability and desire to learn about the enterprise and business unit critical business issues and financial drivers.
  • Working knowledge of organisational and regulatory rules, policies and procedures and effectively employs that knowledge in day-to-day work activities.
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certification.
  • Previous insurance experience.
  • Previous experience of Windows MS Office.
  • Incumbents are required to hold a full and valid driving license.
