Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a supportive and inclusive environment.
About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to provide individualized support to students with a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities. Your role will involve:
- Assisting students in developing new skills and overcoming challenges
- Acting as a role model and providing positive reinforcement to students
- Fostering a supportive and trusting relationship with students
- Active listening skills to understand individual students' needs and concerns
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students
