Job Description:
As a Front Desk Ambassador, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm welcome and facilitating their journey through our healthcare services. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to navigate complex queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Main Responsibilities:
* Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive image to patients and visitors, either in person or via the telephone, at our Cirencester and South Cerney locations.
* Receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way, ensuring seamless navigation of our facilities and services.
* Undertake various administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice, including clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Opening up/locking up of Practice premises and maintaining security according to Practice protocols.
* Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointments system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in scheduling and follow-up processes.
* Processing telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations, directing callers to the appropriate healthcare professional and handling messages with discretion and tact.
* Filing and retrieving paperwork, processing repeat prescriptions according to Practice guidelines, and entering data into our electronic records system.
* Clearing and restocking consulting rooms as required, maintaining a clean and organized environment for our clinicians and patients.
* Providing refreshments for staff and visitors as needed, loading and emptying the dishwasher, and keeping the kitchen area tidy and well-maintained.
* Keeping the reception area, notice boards, and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who visit our facilities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Good standard of education, including GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade A-C or equivalent)
* Competent user of Microsoft Office software, including proficiency in data entry, word processing, and spreadsheet management.
* Experience of dealing with the public/patients, ideally in a public reception environment
* Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to communicate confidently and empathetically.
* Pleasant and articulate, able to work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor, adapting to changing priorities and circumstances.
