Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and oversee all operational activities on the ward, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
  • Patient Care: Provide a high standard of care to individuals with mental illness and personality disorder, developing therapeutic relationships to optimize patient engagement.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the senior nurse on call rota, contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Mentorship and Support: Mentor and support student nurses and other members of the team, promoting a culture of learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
  • Experience: At least 3 years post-registration experience in a mental health setting.
  • Skills: Excellent team working skills, high level of self-motivation, flexible approach, commitment to patient-centered care, and values-based and evidence-based practice.
