Your Role

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting pupils' behavioural and educational development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting classroom activities and assisting teachers in creating a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Providing one-on-one support for students with SEMH/SEN needs, aiding their academic progress and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Helping prepare teaching materials and organising resources for lessons.
  • Building strong, trust-based relationships with pupils, fostering respect and confidence.
  • Collaborating with the wider school team to share ideas, strategies, and best practices.

Successful candidates must provide suitable references and complete an enhanced DBS check.
