We are seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join GSL Education's team in Manchester.

About the Role

This teaching assistant role involves providing high-quality support to students with SEMH needs, enabling them to thrive academically and personally.

Key Duties
  • Offer individualized support to students with SEMH needs, addressing behavioral challenges and promoting positive relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to design and deliver inclusive lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to refine skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEMH needs.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. A valid Right to Work in the UK.
  2. No less than 6 months experience working with students who have SEMH needs in a school or similar setting.
  3. An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply.

This role necessitates a robust understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles. Successful applicants must undergo rigorous background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from £25,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
