About the Role

Orbis Education & Care's Birchwood School in Cardiff seeks a skilled occupational therapist to fill the role of Occupational Development Coordinator. Our school supports students with diverse needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

You will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to promote students' physical, sensory, and emotional development, while collaborating with school staff, families, and the multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create and implement programs to enhance student development.
  2. Work collaboratively with school staff and families.
  3. Conduct therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches.
  4. Maintain compliance with relevant education laws and policies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
