We are seeking a talented Practice Nurse to join our team at HMP Preston, a category B Prison located in Preston. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and making a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients, including health assessments, treatment, and support. You will also be required to develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working with a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver face-to-face care and provide safe and effective health assessments and treatment of patients
  • Work together with teams at each stage of the patient journey, supporting them as they arrive into prison
  • Be accountable for your own practice, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge or referral of patients

Apart from these key responsibilities, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Estimated Salary: £42,094 - £47,466 per annum FTE, depending on experience.
