Job Overview

The CAD Design Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and construction projects by creating accurate 3D models, detailed 2D drawings, and technical documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys, collaborating on engineering solutions, and ensuring that all designs meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • 3D Modeling and 2D Drafting: Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor for various engineering and construction projects.
  • Ensure Design Quality: Ensure that all designs adhere to company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Engineering Support: Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions for welding and fabrication projects.
  • Conduct Surveys: Conduct surveys and site visits to gather necessary data for design development.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance manuals.
  • Client Interaction: Use client portals to manage drawing submissions, track comments, and work towards obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and validate designs to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design using SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor, preferably in an engineering or construction environment.
  • Skills: Proficient in SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor, strong understanding of engineering principles, welding techniques, and construction methods, excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
