At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, our mission is to put the needs of our community first. As our Autism Advisory Teacher, you will be an integral part of our team dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for children with additional needs.
You will deliver crucial training on autism to professionals and families, supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of autistic pupils. Your advisory role will upskill staff in educational settings to devise learning programmes, monitor pupil progress, and build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver training on autism to professionals and families
- Advise schools on including autistic pupils and promoting access to the whole curriculum
- Work collaboratively with other services in the Bi-Borough
- Upskill staff in educational settings
- Monitor pupil progress and build strong relationships
Requirements:
- Outstanding record as a classroom practitioner
- Experience in assessing SEN pupils, delivering training, and evaluating support programmes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Good organisational skills
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Specialist autism training and knowledge of the SEND code of practice and KCSIE 2021
