Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient manufacture and delivery of products to the market place. This will involve managing the manufacturing team, mentoring and developing colleagues, and contributing to the rolling strategic plan for manufacturing.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Manage the manufacturing team, including mentoring and development of colleagues.
  2. Contribute and implement the rolling strategic plan for manufacturing.
  3. Be responsible for Health, Safety and Environment for the manufacturing process in conjunction with the EHS Manager and Operations Manager.
  4. Set and manage performance targets for direct reports to ensure alignment with the company vision - 100% OTIF.
  5. Interface with other functions including R&D, Customer Care, Commercial, Finance and HR to deliver outcome-focused solutions to business challenges.
  6. Contribute to the development of the business to deliver quality products and processes.
  7. Deliver continuously improving service and quality improvements.
  8. Experience of supply chain management.
  9. Manufacturing Engineering (including Standard Operations, plant layout, waste elimination, continuous improvement, engineering change control).
  10. Demonstrate Lean Manufacturing experience in batch and continuous manufacturing.
  11. Broad engineering technical skills and knowledge of implementation across a wide range of industries.
  12. Quality management that delivers to customer requirements.
  13. Project management and change management.
  14. Report writing and presentation skills.
  15. Meeting and exceeding performance measures and continuous improvement KPI's.
  16. Delivering projects safely, on-time, to budget and to specification.
  17. Creating and delivering the Manufacturing plan to budget.
  18. Ensuring delivery of best in class service and quality to pre-defined standards.
  19. NEBOSH or working towards desirable.
  20. Minimum of 5 years' experience working directly in a Manufacturing environment.
  21. Team Building fulfilment.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working directly in a Manufacturing environment and hold a NEBOSH certification or be working towards it. They will also have experience of supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, and lean manufacturing. Additionally, they will have broad engineering technical skills and knowledge of implementation across a wide range of industries.
