Job Title: Apprentice Production Manager

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the effective and efficient production of products, meeting customer requirements and company standards. This involves managing the manufacturing team, implementing strategic plans, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Management: Lead and mentor the manufacturing team, setting performance targets and ensuring alignment with company vision.
  2. Strategic Planning: Contribute to and implement the rolling strategic plan for manufacturing, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  3. Health, Safety, and Environment: Be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, working closely with the EHS Manager and Operations Manager.
  4. Performance Management: Set and manage performance targets for direct reports, ensuring 100% OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) delivery.
  5. Collaboration: Interface with other functions, including R&D, Customer Care, Commercial, Finance, and HR, to deliver outcome-focused solutions to business challenges.
  6. Business Development: Contribute to the development of the business, delivering quality products and processes.
  7. Service and Quality: Deliver continuously improving service and quality improvements, ensuring best-in-class service and quality to pre-defined standards.
  8. Supply Chain Management: Experience of supply chain management, including manufacturing engineering and lean manufacturing principles.
  9. Project Management: Demonstrate project management and change management skills, delivering projects safely, on-time, to budget, and to specification.
  10. Reporting and Presentation: Report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to meet and exceed performance measures and continuous improvement KPIs.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH or working towards desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working directly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Team building and fulfillment.
