Opportunity for a Learning Mentor

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to support students in achieving their academic and personal goals. This role will be based at one of our partner schools in Slough.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Guide students in their behavioral development, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, assisting them in reaching their individual targets and maximizing their potential.
  • Engage actively in learning activities and programs, contributing to enriching educational experiences for the students.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviors, promoting a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating respect, empathy, and professionalism.

What We Look For:

  • Prior experience as a Behavior or Learning Mentor is highly desirable, showcasing your understanding of student needs and effective support strategies.
  • Experience in SEN, challenging behavior management, coaching, or youth work would be beneficial, demonstrating your ability to connect with and guide students effectively.
  • A genuine commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of young people is essential, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience are key qualities for this role, allowing you to navigate diverse student needs with understanding and support.
