Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Collections Documentation Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting and researching our extensive collection of art and antiques, ensuring that our records are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document and research our collection of art and antiques, including paintings, sculpture, furniture, arms and armour, and porcelain.
  • Ensure that our records are accurate and up-to-date, using business synonyms and different phrasing to convey the same information.
  • Collaborate with our curatorial and conservation teams to ensure that our documentation meets the highest standards.
  • Develop and maintain our documentation systems, ensuring that they are user-friendly and efficient.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Excellent research and documentation skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.Strong knowledge of art and antiques, including their history, provenance, and cultural significance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our teams.Proficiency in business software and systems, including Microsoft Office and database management.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £27,352 to £29,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, life insurance, and access to our museum and its collections.
