About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Recovery Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be working with individuals who require mental health support and recovery services. The ideal candidate will have a background in mental health and social care, with experience of working with people presenting in mental health crisis and their families/carers.

The salary for this position is approximately £29,457 per annum, plus benefits such as flexible working, annual leave, and a contributory pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate discharge from step down and coordinate the support needs of patients
  • Liaise with housing and local authorities around discharge and facilitation of housing assessments
  • Coordinate the support for patients allocated to you, which can include ADL support, escort to appointments, and arranging recovery activities
  • Embed recovery values within the service and MDT Team, alongside other Trust recovery champions, and act as an ambassador of recovery for the Trust with external agencies and partner organisations

Requirements

  • Experience, paid or unpaid, of working in Mental Health and Social Care
  • Education or qualifications in health and social care, mental health care or working towards
  • Good knowledge of working with people presenting in mental health crisis and their families/carers
  • Experience of using formulating plans to support individuals to maximise their independence and work towards their recovery
  • Good knowledge of mental health policies and legislations that may contribute to support for patients
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, multi-agency workings
  • Proficient, with the ability to problem solve and create innovative solutions to help empower service users
