Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CAMHS Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Senior Mental Health Specialist, you will provide high-quality specialist services to children and young people with mental health problems across all sectors of care.

The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures. They will provide advice and consultation to other members of the multidisciplinary teams and clinical and performance management supervision to trainees and less experienced professionals where appropriate.

This role is suitable for a qualified professional with a track record of working within CAMHS, providing evidence-based interventions and service improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience of developing and delivering a wide range of interventions, projects, and system changes to support children and young people with mental health issues or emotional disorders.

  • Provide initial assessments drawing on professional training and experience and clinical skills.
  • Formulate and implement plans for the formal clinical treatment and/or management of emotional and behavioural difficulties of clients.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate therapy programmes and progress using CYP-IAPT routine outcome measures.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
