Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic (Field Based) / Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our client's team in Northampton and surrounding areas. As a field-based mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, brake work, and small running repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles at our client's branches, on-site, and at customer home locations.

The Role:

  • Perform routine servicing, brake pad and disc replacement, and other basic mechanical work in the field.
  • Work with market-leading rental and leasing companies, providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Be based in Northampton and surrounding areas, with hours of work from 8:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturday mornings.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have similar experience as a Motor Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, or equivalent.
  • Desirable experience in mobile mechanic or field-based mechanic roles.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
  • A full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • £35,000 basic salary (subject to experience).
  • Productivity bonus scheme and additional work projects available (up to £40,000 OTE).
