Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic (Field Based)

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our client's team in Northampton and surrounding areas. As a field-based mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, brake work, and small running repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles at our client's branches, on-site, and at customer home locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine servicing, brake pad and disc replacement, and other basic mechanical work in the field.
  • Work with market-leading rental and leasing companies, providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Utilize a diagnostics machine to diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

  • Similar experience as a Motor Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, or equivalent.
  • Desirable experience in mobile mechanic or field-based mechanic roles.
  • A full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a well-presented appearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 (subject to experience) with the potential to earn up to £40,000 per annum.
