We are seeking individuals with a genuine passion for helping others to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a Care Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing short-term support services for hospital discharges and individuals needing care at home. Your crucial role includes preventing, reducing, and delaying the necessity for long-term care.

As a member of our team, you will provide homecare support to promote independence in individuals recently discharged from the hospital or under the care of the Rapid Response Service. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and develop your skills and experience in community care.

The successful candidate will receive a welcome payment of £1,300 (subject to tax and NI) for their integral role in reducing flow pressure on hospitals. You will also have access to extensive training, progression, and diploma opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • A Care Certificate or equivalent skills and experience
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding and regulations relevant to community care
  • General level of education to GCSE A*-C or equivalent skills and experience

Benefits:

Salary: £23,893 - £24,702 pro rata (Plus 10% unsocial hours for qualifying shifts)

Hours per week: 27 hours
