About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aerospace Engineer to join our team at Omega. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality analysis solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as ABAQUS to analyze and optimize aerospace systems.
  • Perform classical static stress and fatigue analysis to ensure the integrity of aerospace structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of analysis solutions.
  • Participate in audit reviews and present information to stakeholders as required.
  • Contribute to product validation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify analysis solutions and recommend improvements or suggest alternative methods to optimize aerospace systems.
  • Review drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of analysis solutions.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Good working knowledge of aerospace design & manufacturing processes
  • A good understanding of the different engineering functions
  • Working experience within different engineering functions advantageous
  • Experience of working with recognised FEA and fatigue software tools advantageous
  • Experience of static and fatigue structural analysis methods
  • Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working with aerospace materials engineering properties
  • Experience of working to regulatory requirements
  • Experience of working in an IPT environment
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present information
  • Organised & able to work to strict deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
