About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Care and Education Professional to join our team at one of our specialist schools in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to children and young adults with severe and profound communication difficulties.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing high levels of care during daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, and personal care
  • Assisting with therapy sessions including hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
  • Communicating effectively and building strong relationships with the children and young adults to empower them to grow and develop
  • Ensuring a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment
  • Helping develop learning and social skills wherever possible

Requirements:

  • A willingness to learn and go the extra mile
  • An ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
  • Exceptional communication skills and patience
  • Resilience with a robust and positive nature
  • An ability to be creative in meeting the needs of the young adults or children
