About the Opportunity

As the Head of Planned Programmes, you will be responsible for leading a vital part of our Property Team, overseeing a £10 million programme dedicated to refurbishments and upgrades. This is a senior role where you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the quality of homes and services we deliver to our customers.

You will work collaboratively with senior leadership to ensure our planned works provide value for money, meet customer expectations, and adhere to all relevant regulations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving performance, enhancing efficiency, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide strategic direction to the Planned Works Team, including 3 Planned Works Managers and 1 Admin Team Leader.
  • Manage a budget of £10 million, ensuring all programmes stay on track and within financial parameters.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management and Investment Delivery teams to implement cost-efficient, high-quality planned works.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory health and safety regulations, including CDM, the Building Safety Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative practices and systems across the Planned Programmes team.

Requirements

  • A master's level education or substantial leadership experience in a senior role, ideally within social housing maintenance or property services.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with a track record of improving performance and efficiency.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage change.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant compliance legislation, health and safety, and contractor management practices.
  • Experience with project management, financial reporting, and IT systems.

Salary: £73,504 + Excellent Benefits
