About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Stress Engineer to join our team at Safran Seats in Cwmbran, Wales. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a team of stress engineers and ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality, time, and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of stress engineers to ensure tasks are completed to requirements, of time, cost, and quality.
  • Develop and implement stress analysis methods to ensure the risk of certification test failure is minimized.
  • Review and approve stress and structural documentation for internal and external customers and regulatory approval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in stress analysis and structural integrity.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2:1 Bachelors (Honours) degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace/Structural Engineering.
  • Preferably MEng or PhD with specialism in FEA, simulation, dynamics, materials, and/or structures.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis (4D/8D/Ishikawa).
