Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Walkley Primary School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access learning and engage in all aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the year one teaching team to support a student with social and emotional needs
• Have experience working with children with additional needs
• Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
• Demonstrate the ability to adopt and adapt relevant strategies to support the progress of a pupil with social and emotional needs
• Communicate effectively with other staff members, pupils, and parents/carers under the direction of the class teacher
