Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, working closely with the class teacher and other support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other support staff and teachers to ensure a cohesive and effective support system
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to support students with additional needs

Requirements:

  • Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of the education system and how children learn
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, working closely with pupils who are finding learning difficult
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to work within a team and on own initiative
  • Awareness of confidentiality and child protection issues
  • Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
