Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, promoting their independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the year one teaching team to support a student with SEND needs, promoting their access to learning and engagement in all aspects of school life.
  • Have experience working with children with additional needs and demonstrate a patient, firm, and calm approach.
  • Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion, adopting and adapting relevant strategies to support their progress.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff members, pupils, parents, and carers under the direction of the class teacher.
