Job Title: Strategic Lead for Institute of Sport Planning and Projects

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Strategic Lead for Institute of Sport Planning and Projects. This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership of all planning and project activities of the Institute of Sport, which aligns with the University's strategic priorities.



As a Strategic Lead, you will work closely with the Director of the Institute of Sport and the Head of Business Engagement & Partnerships (IoS) to lead on the planning and delivery of an innovative, ambitious and transformative portfolio of IoS projects and activity. You will proactively seek new areas of strategic opportunity and develop proposals, including business cases.



You will design, implement and support effective governance structures for IoS projects and activities, ensuring that key benefits and outcomes are achieved. You will have experience of managing complex streams of activity to a high quality, within budget.



This role requires a strong track record of building successful relationships, a passion for sport, and the ability to influence a wide range of senior stakeholders. You will be an advocate of good governance and a team player with strong leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership of all planning and project activities of the Institute of Sport.
